Using a telephoto lens or a medium lens with a hand-held stabilizer is quite unrecommended for at least three reasons:

1) Telephotos crush motion (try to run with a telephoto and it will seem you’re just walking)

2) Telephotos have a reduced depth of field (impossible to have objects in focus when walking)

3) Telephotos magnify any mistakes (operator, bad setting, machine).

Even if really difficult we even want to show some footages with telephotos. In these shots drop time was really slow (2.5-3 seconds). Foam roll around u-joint has been used!
